Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) was a founder of French Impressionism, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement’s philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting.

This tapestry is a marvellous reproduction of the garden of Claude Monet in Giverny. In 1890 he buys the house and lands outright and sets out to create the magnificent gardens he was eager to paint.

Tapestry rod may be purchased on our website.
