Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) was a founder of French Impressionism, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement’s philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting.

This beautiful tapestry is a reproduction of Claude Monet’s The Japanese Footbridge (1899). It depicts the artist’s picturesque gardens in Giverny where he lived for 43 years.
